We are from NC, and spent a couple of days in Canada. My wife enjoys picking restaurants where locals eat while on vacation. She picked this place and honestly, I was a little nervous of the way this one looked from the outside. BUT.... don't be fooled. Great place, great food, Friend staff, generous portions. 12 out of 10 stars.
Little family spot casually selling the best pizza, sandwiches, and salads in town. The dough is home made even for their sandwiches. I had the beet and spinach salad and an eggplant and roasted vegetables sandwich. The salad was beyond perfection and the sandwich was fresh. All the ingredients are delicious.
Update: November 1st, 2023... Lunch for Breakfast? I think so; especially when you are having the most incredible Greek Salad available anywhere! It's an artistry of color and tastes amazing! Trish has been a constant here for 28 yrs. Today we were here for my daughter 29th Birthday brunch...a yearly tradition for her and once again, never disappointed. Great Family Restaurant with amazing Greek Fare. Typical old style family restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner...daily specials with soup or salad and fantastic family friendly prices. Service is incredible and fast. Our family has been dining here for 22 yrs and will continue to do so.
Nice cozy places for breakfast. Western omelets was delicious with fresh ingredients. Price was fair, service was good and seating was comfortable. Free parking.
My fam and I loved the outdoor patio, the friendly staff greeted us, cleaned a table for us and we were seated immediately. We urgently needed coffee and Anna brought it out with speed. Hot hot fresh brew. And then we ordered breakfast . French toast and Pancakes special, home fries, eggs , bacon sausages.... Wow it was quick service. Great food. It's hard to find a restaurant in Burlington that serves a decent breakfast for a reasonable price. This is the one. I was a regular customer some years ago and it's nice to see the restaurant hasn't changed. The atmosphere, service, and food are all exceptional! I have no hesitation in recommending Mount Royal Family Restaurant to visit at anytime for either breakfast, lunch or dinner!
My family and i always use this restaurant when i come to visit from England, have been going here for over 10 years. Never had a bad experience here, the food is delightful! Always having leftover pancakes the next day as the Canadian portions are a loveable size! :-)
